She is a model, biomedical engineering graduate, and entrepreneur, currently based in London. Growing up between Mauritius and London, Wenna has embraced a life enriched by diversity. She describes Mauritius as a vibrant tapestry of cultures, faiths, and natural beauty, shaping her identity and inspiring her values of compassion, inclusivity, and resilience.

Academic and Professional Journey

Wenna graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Queen Mary University of London and is preparing to embark on her journey into medicine, driven by her dream to become a doctor and serve communities through healing, listening, and advocacy.
She is also an accomplished model, with a diverse portfolio spanning editorial and commercial campaigns. Through modelling, Wenna has used fashion as a medium to tell stories, create impactful visuals, and promote authentic representation in media.

Entrepreneurship and Hobbies

Outside of academics and modelling, Wenna is a dedicated entrepreneur. She runs her own cake business, Cakes by Wenna, combining her love for baking with creativity to bring joy to others.
She has always embraced life’s simple joys, from playing football – as a member of her school’s first-ever girls’ football team – to travelling the world and immersing herself in new cultures and perspectives.

Miss World Experience

Representing Mauritius at Miss World was a life-changing journey for Wenna. She describes it as more than a competition – it was about sisterhood, growth, and unforgettable memories. During her time in Telangana, India, she connected with representatives from all over the world, each with unique cultures, dreams, and stories.
She writes:
“Miss World was about the people I met, the laughter we shared, and the bonds that will last forever. Sisterhood was at the heart of this journey and it something I’ll forever cherish”
Wenna explored the vibrant state of Telangana, experiencing its rich heritage and warm hospitality. From visiting the historic Charminar, exploring local art and craft village of Pochampally the cultural experiences were truly special. Her journey also included a visit to the Telangana Secretariat, where she met government leaders, and Ramoji Film City, where she explored the world’s largest film studio and experienced its rich cultural performances
and grand film sets. Some more highlights were enjoying Hyderabad’s famous foods and witnessing cultural performances and school visits, she felt deeply immersed in India’s spirit.
She reflects that the true crown was the experience itself – learning to stand confidently, embracing vulnerability, and carrying Mauritius in her heart wherever she went.

Beauty with a Purpose: Bridges of Ability

Wenna’s Beauty with a Purpose project, Bridges of Ability is rooted in compassion and inclusion. Her project seeks to build bridges for children and young adults living with disabilities and those facing social marginalisation. During her journey, Wenna visited the Southern Handicapped Association in Mauritius, celebrating with children with various physical and learning disabilities. She described seeing determination, laughter, and an ocean of potential, rather than disability.
In Mauritius, over 2,700 students are enrolled in SEN schools, with many facing stigma and limited resources. Wenna’s project aims to bridge these gaps by creating joyful, safe, and inclusive spaces that empower every child to thrive. Her service extends to visiting an all-girls orphanage in Mauritius, where she spent time bonding with children affected by the rising drug epidemic. Additionally, she travelled to Zanzibar, distributing back-to-school kits to children, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to pursue education.
Inspired by her love for children and justice, she remains committed to building bridges that uplift lives.
“For me it is all about breaking barriers, barriers in children which make them believe that they can’t achieve their dreams because of their circumstances. I simply want to be a bridge in which children can reach for the keys to unlock their true potential and achieve their wildest dreams”
